Swimming in Antiparos
Antiparos lies just a short boat ride from Paros, separated by a narrow strait that funnels the Meltemi between the two islands. Despite this, the island's south-facing beaches enjoy good protection, and the overall vibe is noticeably more relaxed than its larger neighbour.
The island is small enough to explore entirely by foot or bicycle, with beaches scattered around its circumference. South-coast spots tend to be calmest during Meltemi episodes, while the east coast can pick up swell from the strait.
Swimming is comfortable from June to September. Antiparos offers a slower pace than Paros — same quality beaches, fewer people, and a charmingly low-key atmosphere.
